This document represents the entire agreement between the participant and “Visit Olympus”.

“Visit Olympus” reserve the right, without penalty, to make changes in the published itinerary and/or to withdraw the program announced, whenever, in their judgment, conditions warrant, or if they deem it necessary for the comfort, convenience, or safety of tour participants.

Dates, schedules, program details, and costs, although provided in good faith based on information available at the time of publication of the brochure or catalog, are subject to change and revision.

All participants must ensure they are medically and physically fit for travel.

Participants are required to advise the provider, in advance, of any physical, medical or other special needs that require accommodating.

“Visit Olympus” reserve the right, without penalty, to decline to accept any person as a participant in a program, or to require any participant to withdraw from the tour at any time, if that individual’s participation poses a direct threat to health or safety.

Since “Visit Olympus” doesn’t own or manage hotels, carriers or restaurants, venues used as such we are not liable for the non-performance or improper performance of these thereof we have no responsibility for inconvenience, loss or damage, any cancellations caused by the proprietors or operators.

Baggage and personal effects are at all times the sole responsibility of the participant. “Visit Olympus” will not accept liability for any loss or damage to baggage or any of the passenger’s belongings. Passengers should report any lost items to the “Visit Olympus” guide, who will assist in completing a lost property form that can be used for any insurance claim in this matter.

THE BOOKING CONTRACT

Your booking is confirmed and a contract exists when the Tour Operator or your travel agent issues a written confirmation after receipt of the applicable deposit amount. Please check your confirmation carefully and report any incorrect or incomplete information to the Tour Operator or authorized agent immediately. Please ensure that names are exactly as stated in the relevant passport.

You must be at least 18 years of age to make a booking. You agree to provide full, complete and accurate information to the Tour Operator.

BOOKING ON BEHALF OF OTHERS

By booking on behalf of other participants, you are deemed to be the designated contact person for every participant included on that booking. This means that you are responsible for making all payments due in connection with your Tour booking, notifying the Tour Operator or your travel agent if any changes or cancellations are required and keeping your party informed.

By booking on behalf of another person or persons, you represent and warrant that you have obtained all required consents. You are responsible for verifying that any information you provide on behalf of another participant is complete and accurate and the Tour Operator will under no circumstances be liable for any errors or omissions in the information provided to complete a booking.

PERSONAL INSURANCE

Personal insurance is not included. It is your responsibility to take out appropriate travel insurance. Although “Visit Olympus” and its representatives will always strive to ensure safe and enjoyable completion of its tours they cannot be held responsible for the personal safety of participants. Each participant shall be fully responsible for his/her personal health, medical needs and safety.

Visit Olympus” is not responsible or liable for loss, damage or theft of luggage or personal belongings, illness, disappointments or frustrations while on tour, nor is “Visit Olympus” responsible for any type of trip interruption due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances. To avoid charges for cancellation due to covered reasons, we highly recommend the purchase of comprehensive trip insurance.

APPEALS

Should the activity lead to appeals or damages, these are to be communicated immediately, in writing, to the activity leader (i.e. activity provider), and these are to be confirmed in writing by the responsible leader. The activity leader, however, shall not have the right to acknowledge claims, for which reason a confirmation shall not have the effect of an acknowledgment of wrongdoing.

The activity leader (i.e. activity provider) will make every effort, within the confines of the program and the possibilities available, to remedy the situation. Should the situation be insufficiently remedied or not be remedied, or the participant wishes to make damage claims, these must be received by the organizer within four weeks of the contractual end of the activity at the booking agency. The participant’s appeal is to be accompanied by the confirmation of the activity provider/activity leader as well as any other relevant evidence. In the case of delayed complaints or complaints with omissions during the activity or delayed submissions of the claims at the booking agency, all appeals will be deemed invalid.

LIABILITY

Damage claims against the organizer or the assistants are excluded, as far as the damage was not caused by negligence or intentionally. The organizer is authorized to have assistants or call on third parties to provide valued services. Should the organizer lawfully transfer the execution of the activity to a third party, the organizer shall not be held responsible for the third party’s actions or neglect during execution of the activity. The organizer will especially not be held responsible for damages which are caused by the actions or neglect of the activity leader should this conduct not fall under his/her contracted responsibility; as cause of actions of third parties, other participants, the participant (especially under point 1), in the event of adverse weather conditions or matters beyond Our control, the Event or part of it may be canceled, postponed or delayed. In such event, at our sole discretion, We may assist you to arrange an alternative Event, or We may give you a credit toward a future booking. We will not be liable for any travel or accommodation costs incurred by Participants in such circumstances.

SEVERANCE

If any of these Terms and Conditions should be determined to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable for any reason by any court of competent jurisdiction then such Term or Condition shall be severed and the remaining Terms and Conditions shall survive and remain in full force and effect and continue to be binding and enforceable.

REVISIONS AND ERRATA

The materials appearing on Visit Olympus’s web site could include technical, typographical, or photographic errors. Visit Olympus does not warrant that any of the materials on its web site are accurate, complete, or current. Visit Olympus may make changes to the materials contained on its web site at any time without notice. Visit Olympus does not, however, make any commitment to update the materials.

DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The Website is provided on an AS IS and AS AVAILABLE basis without any representation or endorsement made and without warranty of any kind whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, compatibility, security, and accuracy.

To the extent permitted by law, Visit Olympus will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage whatever (including without limitation loss of business, opportunity, data, profits) arising out of or in connection with the use of the Website.

Visit Olympus makes no warranty that the functionality of the Website will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected or that the Website or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or anything else which may be harmful or destructive.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall be construed so as to exclude or limit the liability of Visit Olympus for death or personal injury as a result of the negligence of Visit Olympus or that of its employees or agents.

COPYRIGHT

All copyright, trademarks and all other intellectual property rights in the Website and its content (including without limitation the Website design, text, graphics and all software and source codes connected with the Website) are owned by or licensed to Visit Olympus or otherwise used by Visit Olympus as permitted by law.

In accessing the Website you agree that you will access the content solely for your personal, non-commercial use. None of the content may be downloaded, copied, reproduced, transmitted, stored, sold or distributed without the prior written consent of the copyright holder. This excludes the downloading, copying and/or printing of pages of the Website for personal, non-commercial home use only.

LINKS TO THIRD PARTY WEBSITES

Visit Olympus Website may include links to third party websites that are controlled and maintained by others. Any link to other websites is not an endorsement of such websites and you acknowledge and agree that we are not responsible for the content or availability of any such sites.

IMAGES AND MARKETING

You agree that, while participating in any Tour, images, photos or videos may be taken by other participants, the Tour Operator or its representatives that may contain or feature you. You consent to any such pictures being taken and grants a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide, irrevocable license to the Tour Operator, its contractors, sub-contractors and assigns, to reproduce for any purpose whatsoever (including marketing, promotions and the creation of promotional materials by or with sub-licensees), in any medium whatsoever, whether currently known or hereinafter devised, without any further obligation or compensation payable to you.

THE TOUR OPERATOR IS NOT LIABLE FOR THIRD PARTY SUPPLIERS

The Tour Operator makes arrangements with accommodation providers, activity providers, airlines, cruise lines, coach companies, transfer operators, shore excursion operators, tour and local guides, and other independent parties (“Third Party Suppliers”) to provide you with some or all of the components of your booking. Third Party Suppliers may also engage the services of local operators and sub-contractors. Although the Tour Operator takes all reasonable care in selecting Third Party Suppliers, the Tour Operator is unable to control Third Party Suppliers, does not supervise Third Party Suppliers and therefore cannot be responsible for their acts or omissions. Any services provided by Third Party Suppliers are subject to the terms and conditions imposed by these Third Party Suppliers and their liability is limited by their tariffs, conditions of carriage, tickets, and vouchers and international conventions and agreements that govern the provision of their services. These may limit or exclude the liability of the Third Party Supplier. You acknowledge that Third Party Suppliers operate in compliance with the applicable laws of the countries in which they operate and the Tour Operator does not warrant that any Third Party Supplier is in compliance with the laws of your country of residence or any other jurisdiction.

THE TOUR OPERATOR IS NOT LIABLE AND WILL NOT ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS, LOSSES, DAMAGES, COSTS OR EXPENSES ARISING OUT OF INCONVENIENCE, LOSS OF ENJOYMENT, UPSET, DISAPPOINTMENT, DISTRESS OR FRUSTRATION, WHETHER PHYSICAL OR MENTAL, RESULTING FROM THE ACT OR OMISSION OF ANY PARTY OTHER THAN THE TOUR OPERATOR AND ITS EMPLOYEES.

The Tour Operator is not liable for the acts or omissions, whether negligent or otherwise, of Third Party Suppliers or any independent contractors.

OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES

Conditions of Participation, Obligations of the Participant.

These terms and conditions apply to every person booked onto Outdoor Activities provided by Visit Olympus. If booking on behalf of a third party you accept these terms on their behalf and so it is important that you make them aware.

All participants were informed, that there is no (in terms of) a medical problem, that makes their participation in the activity problematic (Allergic, cardiology, etc.), pregnancy or disability that prevents it from participating in the activity.

Adventurous activities are potentially hazardous with a danger of personal injury. By booking a course in these activities you are aware of and accept these risks and will be responsible for your own and your groups actions and involvement. Instructors who holds the relevant awards or qualifications will lead these activities and will maintain a high level of safety throughout the activities. To enable Outdoor Activities to manage these risks you agree to acknowledge the need for responsible behavior and that the instructor’s word is final on all matters of safety.

You confirm that you are familiar with the nature of the activities that you wish to undertake and acknowledge those risks that are inherent therein and that you may freely withdraw from any activity and there is no pressure whatsoever to take part. Participants will not be under the influence of any drink or drugs in anytime during attendance.

We reserve the right to stop Your participation in any Activity or Event in whole or in part if in Our reasonable opinion You are unruly, violent, abusive, or deemed not capable to the extent that such state or condition is materially likely to endanger the safety or enjoyment of other Participants. We do not accept the liability for the behavior of You or others on or at the Event, and participants found to have unacceptable behavior will be removed from Activities with no refund given, and all balances to be paid in full.

PRICING

Our prices are subject to change without notice. Customers that have already made a purchase are not obliged to pay the difference in case of an increase in prices. Visit Olympus are not liable for refunding the difference in the case of price reduction.

All prices provided are on a per person basis unless otherwise stated.

Prices include local taxes. Prices do not include tips, personal expenses or personal insurance.

BOOKING AND CONFIRMATION

Every customer is responsible for providing accurate information during the booking process. When a booking has been made through our website, customers will receive confirmation and voucher via email. This document must be saved as evidence of purchase and be presented on the day of the tour. Visit Olympus reserves the right to refuse service to any customer without a voucher.

Users are advised to check the details of the booking and should inform Visit Olympus immediately of any errors. Changes may be made up to 48 hours after booking.

PAYMENT

All tours booked through the website of Visit Olympus are paid for via Trekksoft. Upon receipt of the payment Visit Olympus will issue a voucher and send it via email. The voucher must be printed, as proof of purchase, and be presented on the day of the tour.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

PUNCTUALITY

Customers should adhere to the time on their voucher. If a customer does not arrive on time, Visit Olympus will consider this a no-show, the tour will be cancelled and no refund will be provided. It is recommended that you plan to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the start of the tour.

INSURANCE POLICY

“Visit Olympus” is not responsible or liable for loss, damage or theft of luggage or personal belongings, illness, disappointments or frustrations while on tour, nor is “Visit Olympus” responsible for any type of trip interruption due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances To avoid charges for cancellation due to covered reasons, we highly recommend the purchase of comprehensive trip insurance.

ACCOMMODATION

Prices are per person and based on two persons sharing a twin-bedded room at 3 or 4* hotel with private bath or shower including breakfast. Ability to book single rooms –upon availability and prior notice- but keep in mind that these are more costly smaller than twin-bedded rooms. Availability of triple and quad rooms is limited. Note: Triple rooms usually consist of one double bed and the third bed may be a ‘roll-away’ bed that is most times could limit space in the room.

SIGHTSEEING

Entrance fees to archaeological sites and museums visited as detailed on each itinerary are not included.

PACKAGE EXCLUSIONS

Airfare (including internal flights), airport taxes and fees; passport and visa fees; airline fees for checked and/or excess baggage; optional tours, activities and excursions; gratuities; laundry; phone calls; meals and beverages not detailed in the itinerary; items of a personal nature, costs and expenses of the return to your home, other services not stated in the itinerary.

RESERVATIONS, PAYMENTS, AND DISCOUNTS

Payment in full is required at the time of booking.

Discounts are valid up to 120 days to the scheduled excursion.

“Visit Olympus” reserve the right to cancel the reservation and impose cancellation charges should payments not be received within the above specified periods.

CHANGE OF USE

Visit Olympus reserves the right to:

  • Change or remove (temporarily or permanently) the Website or any part of it without notice and you confirm that Visit Olympus shall not be liable to you for any such change or removal and.
  • Change these Terms and Conditions at any time, and your continued use of the Website following any changes shall be deemed to be your acceptance of such change.

ADVICE

The contents of Visit Olympus website do not constitute advice and should not be relied upon in making or refraining from making, any decision.

VISIT OLYMPUS VOUCHERS

You will receive a personalized Visit Olympus Voucher for each tour, event or service booked.You must provide the original, authentic Visit Olympus Voucher to the appropriate service provider in order to redeem your tour, ticket, or package. Your reservation cannot be honored or redeemed without presenting a valid Visit Olympus Voucher.

In some cases, Visit Olympus also requires that you present the credit card used to purchase your tour or ticket at the time of redemption. This generally applies only to attraction and show tickets. This helps us to prevent credit-card misuse. You will be advised at checkout whether or not you must present the credit card used for booking. In some cases Visit Olympus will waive this requirement, generally to facilitate gift purchases. However this requirement can only be waived by contacting Visit Olympus’s Customer Care team once your booking has been confirmed, and any changes or amendments will be made at Visit Olympus’s sole discretion.

Please note that your Visit Olympus Voucher(s) can be confiscated – and immediately canceled without refund – if your signature and/or name do not match those shown on either your credit card or Gift Certificate.

All matters arising are subject to the laws of the Hellenic Republic without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
