Our all-day Olympus train tour begins with a visit to the archaeological site of Dion. This ancient city of Macedonia was once a center of worship of the gods of Olympus. Here, you’ll have plenty of time to explore the ancient grounds and discover statues and other historical artifacts. A visit to the Dion museum is also worth a visit while you are there.
From ancient sites to medieval castles, the next stop on our all-day Olympus trip is a visit to the Platamon Castle. This Crusader castle dates back to the years 1204 to 1222 and was built to guard the valley of Tempe, the only intersection at the time that connected Macedonia with southern Greece. Wander through the grounds of this imposing castle before heading to Mt. Olympus.
Next stop on our Mount Olympus And Dion day trip is a visit to the bathtub of Zeus and its waterfall found within the gorge of Enipeas. We will take a short hike to witness the wonders of the legendary mountain of the gods.
